เพิ่งคุยกับเพื่อนเมื่อวันเสาร์ เรื่อง the new pornographers ติวถามถึงผลงานใหม่ของวงซูเปอร์กรุ๊ปจากแคนาดาวงนี้ ว่าหายหน้าหายตากันไปนาน มาวันนี้ เจอข่าวออกชุดใหม่เลยเอามาฝากกัน

ประกาศอย่างเป็นทางการแล้วใน matador recs สำหรับอัลบั้มชุดใหม่ของวง ซึ่งใช้ชื่อว่า challengers วางแผงวันที่ 21 สิงหาคม 2007

มีการแซวถึงความรักสันโดษของนักร้องนำ a.c. newman ว่า ก่อนออกงานนี้ แอบปลีกวิเวก ในปีที่ผ่านมา จู่ๆ ก็หายตัวไปจาก vancouver อย่างลึกลับ ไม่บอกไม่กล่าว เจอตัวกันอีกที 4 เดือนต่อมา ไปอยู่ brooklyn จนกระทั่งบัดนี้ โดยมีแผลเป็นลึกลับ เป็นรอยแดงที่แก้มข้างหนึ่ง ให้พวกเราสงสัยกัน ยังไงก็แล้วแต่ เขาก็กลับมาพร้อมเพลงต่างๆ บอกเล่าเรื่องราวของเขาในช่วง 2 ปีที่ผ่านมา

the band comprises trish young and jodi phillis, ex-members of the clouds band which broke up in 1997–the successful indie rock band from sydney, australia

i was in need of soothing indie pop when i luckily found california snow story by accident on myspace so this is a perfect fit for me

they debuted five-song cdep entitled one good summer through shelflife records

turned out that this cute scottish band features the main artist, david, who was a founder member of camera obscura (lead guitars, song-writer on early releases) and the girl vox currently is sandra who used to be in spanish band called superété and she is a nurse! (according to her myspace info) how cool! a nurse who sings for indie pop band!!! wooooo

after reading the band’s blog writings, i felt very sorry for them. soapy story! they had been thru rough times, i.e. changing line-up’s all times and david’s illness. let’s cross fingers for them that this band could last longer!

if it were to break up, it would be a huge pity in indie pop music business! anyhow, they’re now making new songs for the full album  oh yehhh!

วง the lolligags มาจาก athens, georgia ประเทศสหรัฐฯ โดยประกอบด้วยสมาชิก 2 คน คือ leslie และ ryan เนื่องจากวงนี้ยังใหม่มาก และยังไม่พบข้อมูลใดๆ บนค่าย happy happy birthday to me records (hhbtm) คาดว่า คงยังไม่ได้เปิดตัวอย่างเป็นทางการ อันนี้น่าจะเป็นเพียงซิงเกิลแรกเท่านั้น ทราบแต่ข้อมูลสมาชิกสาวนักร้องนำ leslie ว่า เป็นเจ้าของ pancake meow ซึ่งทำกิจการ handmade ดีไซน์เก๋ ขาย jewelry จำลองรูปขนมหวาน และอาหารต่างๆ แถมยังมีกลิ่นหอมหวลเหมือนจริงด้วย โอววว เธอช่างสร้างสรรค์
