ann driscoll, a 19 years old singer-songwriter who writes all songs and plays all instruments on her recordings, creates jangling folk pop music with the beatles, elliott smith, fiona apple and aimee mann influences.

sounds like: “If the Beatles had a fifth member who was a chick; Liz Phair; Elliott Smith’s more upbeat kid sister; Aimee Mann if she had ADD”– ann wrote on her myspace page.

i do agree with that. it best describes her music.

mp3: ann driscoll - i need a reason
the first time that i listened to this song, it’s an instant love. a feel good music : )

“I need what everybody needs
I need a reason to believe
We’re not alone in the world
We will be loved by a boy or a girl
A change is coming our way
It might unravel today”

mp3 sample featured in this post courtesy of her website. without doubt, i have already got all files from this site ><

i would highly recommend you to try “miracle man rough“, “the sinking ship” and “novelty” songs on her myspace. these are my personal favorites.
