me: scotland’s quirky indie rock. first found this band from dj. nut of yesindie (thanks to him).
- the broken family band - hello love
me: new ‘07 album is catchy. it changes my mind about their music. honestly, i never liked them this much earlier
- interpol - turn on the bright lights
me: missing their old sound A LOT!
- the holy fire - in the name of the world-(ep)
me: art rock + a tad post punk band. pretty hard to find. be careful of their scream in ‘we are not here to learn’ song.
- so so modern - friendly fires ep
me: danceable electro post-punk from new zealand. mistaken for a name. thought it was another band (i.e. friendly fires), so i tried this ep. turned out a great find! how cool is that? hehe
- aberdeen city - the freezing atlantic
me: this is the way alternative/ indie rock should sound like.
- tsui - half man army
me: listened to dj. mintra of yesindie and found this honeyed new yorker folk.
- agent simple - shaking an egg
me: i was so bored and wanted something endearing yet not too sweet for me. this swedish pop saves me!
- deerhoof - friend opportunity
me: simply on my top best 07 album list. enough said!
