i kept meaning to write about shotgun & jaybird for too long. now that i just found out the most exciting news about this band from the discussion between me and tum (aka dj bookie), yesindie founder. this has got to speak out!

shotgun jimmie - guitar/vox
julie doiron – four string low guitar/vox
paul henderson – drummer

are you watching closely? i mean, JULIE DOIRON!!!! omg! i been doubting it for so long. was wondering if the girl vox in shotgun & jaybird is doiron because the singing style/voice is very alike to her.

this’s great news for me and all doiron fans. and what’s funny is that, earlier i doubted about it but never had an effort to search for info =.=  (lazybum, i know) and later on we knew that doiron been touring with the band so… yeah now the secret is no more! she is actually in the band :D ha! anyway, she just joined the band in 2005 (on bass and vocals)

crafting lo-fi indie rock, alternative-indie, alt. country, shotgun & jaybird hails from sackville, new brunswick, canada. in my opinion, its music resembles a lot of pet politics (view post entry here), 764-hero and a tad of pavement + sebadoh
