let’s go unpopular, let go the popular!

i was in need of soothing indie pop when i luckily found california snow story by accident on myspace so this is a perfect fit for me

they debuted five-song cdep entitled one good summer through shelflife records

turned out that this cute scottish band features the main artist, david, who was a founder member of camera obscura (lead guitars, song-writer on early releases) and the girl vox currently is sandra who used to be in spanish band called superété and she is a nurse! (according to her myspace info) how cool! a nurse who sings for indie pop band!!! wooooo

after reading the band’s blog writings, i felt very sorry for them. soapy story! they had been thru rough times, i.e. changing line-up’s all times and david’s illness. let’s cross fingers for them that this band could last longer!

if it were to break up, it would be a huge pity in indie pop music business! anyhow, they’re now making new songs for the full album  oh yehhh!

(อินดี้ร็อคแอบน่ารัก กินง่าย ใครรู้จักแล้วก็หลงรักกันไปหมด) + ex-models (เอาเฉพาะลูกบ้าของวงนี้มา) + oxford collapse (สำหรับความเป็นอินดี้ร็อคติดพังค์ กวนประสาทแบบมีเอกลักษณ์ไม่โหลเกลื่อน) จะได้ผลลัพธ์ = think about life

ศิลปินกลุ่มนี้ประกอบด้วยสมาชิก 3 คน นำวงโดย graham van pelt, มือกลอง matt shane และนักร้องนำ martin cesar เป็นวงจากประเทศแคนาดา มาจาก montréal, quebec หลังจากที่ตระเวณเล่นคอนเสิร์ตได้ไม่กี่งาน ก็ได้รับการเชื้อเชิญเป็นการส่วนตัวให้ไปเป็นวงเปิดให้กับทางวง wolf parade เมื่อตอนทัวร์คอนเสิร์ตปีที่แล้ว

resembles texas is the reason + desaparecidos — listenable for emo darlings. could be cut as a single release. melodic emo song.

- 4 am
totally wicked cool art rock song! it comprised with a neat combination of melodic guitar lines and chorus with repetitive singing/hook. i adore this work and esp. its ending bit..the way how it slowly quiets down. so good :n) **my fave

- this fall
mediocre tongue-in-cheek singing emo punk. sometimes can be reminded of alkaline trio

please note: in my opinion, the vox of TGAI reminds me of eve 6, the american alternative rock band, i.e. the tongue-in-cheek singing style and the vocals are alike.
